U.S. Marines based in Okinawa, Japan, are 3D printing replacement parts for combat aircraft. Members of Combat Logistic Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, have embraced additive manufacturing—a technology that builds 3D objects by piling on layers of material to create a tangible object.
